Welcome to the Abdovac® Resource Page
Abdovac® is a closed wound drainage system designed to provide gentle, controlled drainage with low negative pressure.
With an initial negative pressure of just 25 mmHg, Abdovac® provides mild, controlled suction for postoperative wound drainage. The low-pressure design makes it a suitable choice when gentle suction is preferred, helping provide effective drainage without the higher vacuum associated with some drainage systems.
The system features three non-return valves, supporting one-way fluid flow and helping to prevent retrograde contamination throughout the collection, emptying and reactivation process. The drainage bag provides convenient collection of postoperative wound fluid, while the system can be easily emptied and reactivated for continued drainage.
Abdovac® combines effective low-pressure suction, medium drainage capacity and a secure closed system, providing a practical solution for postoperative wound drainage across a broad range of surgical procedures.
With a range of compatible accessories, including silicone drains, Y-connectors and additional drainage bags, Abdovac® offers flexibility to support different postoperative drainage requirements.
